UNRIC relies on XHTMLSuite

United Nations Regional Information CentreAfsané Bassir-Pour, the Director of United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) in Brussels presented the new UNRIC website to a large audience, including Ambassadors, NGO’s, and representatives of the media.

The website is based on Joomla! 1.0 and was developed by the UNRIC ICT-Department in cooperation with developers from the Open Source Community and according to UNRIC, apart from the European Union website, is the biggest multi-lingual website among the international organizations in the world, available in the 13 different languages.

»It's one small step in version number, one giant leap in development«

This title probably describes best the current release 1.6 of XHTMLSuite. Barely four months have passed since the release of version 1.5 but still the differences between the two could not be bigger.

Some figures

The changelog from version 1.1 to 1.5 contained a listing of 43 major improvements and changes; in comparison to this, the changelog from version 1.5 to 1.6 documents the sightly Number of 107 changes. Over 24 new functions were implemented into the new version, each after ample testing.

XHTMLSuite The Team of XHTMLSuite.com is proud to announce the upcoming release of XHTMLSuite v1.6 and the special edition XHTMLSuite 508 for creation of accessible contents according to Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium (http://www.w3.org/WAI/) and Section 508 Standards (http://www.section508.gov/).

Many new features have made their way into upcoming XHTMLSuite v1.6. XHTMLSuite currently is undergoing a final testing phase on all major platforms by a team of experienced beta testers.

Team XHTMLSuite provides localhost patch

Due to many requests today we have released a patch which enables owners of a valid XHTMLSuite license to install and run their licensed copy of XHTMLSuite on a local web server under the domain localhost for testing and development purposes.
Furthermore the recently announced Mambelfish patch now is available. The patch provides an optimised Mambelfish interface along with Mambelfish function buttons specifically adapted for XHTMLSuite for convenient transfering/deleting of contents.
Both patches shortly will be available for free to our registered customers in our new download section.

In order to be able to provide you, our customers and visitors, with better orientation and functionality in our free and commercial downloads, the download section will completely be updated and restructured for you.
